Friday & Home From Work

I do remember my Dad coming home from time to time by the street car that ran across the Victoria Bridge & down the center of Churchill Blvd.


He would get off at Smith Store on the corner of Devonshire & Churchill and walk down to our home at 98 Devonshire (between Churchill & Third St.).


These were very simple days my Dad would be wearing a coat, tie & hat of the fifty's quite vogue for the time. The interesting thing about this is that he worked at Ogilvy Flour as a store keeper, in today's standard that would be a jeans & t-shirt job.


We have lowered our standers since then and I'm not sure if that was such a good idea...
